The Residential Treatment Facility provides therapeutic and support services to adolescents aged 17-21 who are referred to us through ACS and the Juvenile Justice system. Our residents have experienced significant trauma, resulting in behavioral, emotional, and functional/ development issues. We offer an extensive independent living skills program, including vocational preparation, and educational services that assists youth towards reaching independence. The Clinical Director has full responsibility for the on-going clinical and administrative guidance of the clinical staff members, providing on-going training, supervision, and guidance to staff.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Clinical Director has full responsibility for the ongoing clinical and administrative guidance of the clinical staff. She/He also provided ongoing training, supervision and guidance to the clinical staff. The Clinical Director is the ITM (Integrated Treatment Model) liaison for the program. The Clinical Director is fully familiar with the Regulatory requirements and Agency/ Divisional clinical standards and practice. S/he functions as an internal resource on such matters. The Clinical Director is a senior member of the residential management team. In addition, s/he must provide safe, high quality, programs and adherence to the company policies and procedures. In collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team member, the Clinical Director must ensure the integrity of treatment planning processes and maintenance of the highest documentation standards as required by regulations and professional scope of practice.
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Provides regularly scheduled supervision to all clinical staff members.
• Evaluates and assesses treatment and service plans.
• Evaluates clinical staff, provides training through regular supervision.
• May carry a caseload, as needed.
• Active participant in the intake process for new referrals, and reviews client’s ongoing service/ treatment plans.
• Ensures all clinical needs of the client are met through the course of the youth’s placement.
• Ensures appropriate supervision of all program Interns, either through direct supervision or by overseeing the clinical supervision provided by the social worker.
• May run specialized groups to meet the needs of the program.
• Is a key staff resource for community outreach efforts and may perform such outreach and establish linkages with other groups, individuals or organizations which may be helpful to our clients.
• Provides all necessary notes, progress notes, Risk Assessments and other paperwork as required.
• May cover for Assistant Director in his/her absence
• Assists in day-to-day working of the model – skills groups assistance, modeling, coaching skills reinforcement and teaching skills on the fly.
• Program development, documentation review, material design and curriculum development are all major tasks
• Oversees data tracking, collection, analysis, and reporting via the Program Implementation Review (PIR)
• Trouble shoots implementation barriers, puts action steps in place to address barriers, and tracks progress toward goals
• Participates in ongoing training and efforts that develop expertise in ITM(DBT) so they are able to be culture carriers of the ITM in their organization
• Other duties as assigned
MANAGEMENT:
• Hires and provides clinical and administrative supervision to the Clinical Supervisor, Behavioral Health Clinicians, as well as other clinical staff.
• Manage risk regarding client safety by adhering to all risk management protocols.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIRED:
• LCSW, LMSW or a master’s degree in social work. Behavioral Health or related field.
• A minimum of five (5 experience in either child welfare, Juvenile justice, mental health, or other residential treatment setting, three (3) of which having been in a senior managerial/operations level capacity.
• Specialized experience with residential treatment may also be required.
